In this comment in Npj Urban Sustainability, we argue that household water security, far from universal in the Global North, is a key avenue for adapting to extreme and chronic heat. We synthesize key insights to advance water security as a central plank of urban heat justice.
Socioeconomic and energy transition disparities in air pollution–related mortality across Europe (ISGlobal, UPF, BSC)
Shows that unequal socioeconomic conditions and uneven renewable energy uptake are linked to widening regional disparities in the relative risk of air pollution-related mortality across Europe. Populations facing greater socioeconomic disadvantage are also more vulnerable to the health impacts of air pollution.
